If there's one thing that a baby will do, it's keep you from playing video games. Although I was able to fill out a Top 10, I only had about 14 contenders in the first place. Sure I could chalk it up to the drought of decent AAA games this year, but to be honest I have a decent-sized list of games from this year (including Sleeping Dogs, Nintendo Land, Nano Assault Neo, and The Walking Dead) that I look forward to jumping into in 2013.
The good news is that I'm getting a lot better at finding time to play games around the baby's schedule (and the baby's actually sleeping on a schedule too). I'm going to make an honest effort at getting through The Last Story and Xenoblade Chronicles to clear up my loose ends from last year.
So whether the drought is real or all in our collective heads, I can honestly say that in 2012 I had more good games to play than I could actually finish - and there's no sense complaining about that.
